Web-based electronic software runs on voice over Internet Protocol, or VoIP. VoIP allows voice transmission over the Internet. Some software also allows participants to create graphs and charts in real time, and record and save the entire meeting so it can be reviewed at a later date. The use of web technologies, thus contributed to business productivity by reducing the cost of travel and time travel that is usually required. This technology has led to the emergence of virtual enterprises consisting of people who work in the business, but which interact primarily through electronic means.
